2019 Glass Blown Open: FPO Round 1 Recap
Catch up on the action from the 2019 Glass Blown Open, where Katrina Allen and Jessica Weese took to the course in the FPO division. The competition was fierce, but Katrina's hot start set her apart - until a sluggish pace of play led to some costly mistakes. She bounced back with a birdie conversion on hole 11 and continued to play well, including a clutch putt on 18 to secure a spot at the top of the leaderboard. But Jessica Weese wasn't far behind. After shaking off an early round rust, she found her footing, sinking three birdies in succession and staying consistent throughout the round. Her impressive c1x putting earned her top honors, as did her fairway hits, which placed her among the top five. The 2019 Glass Blown Open was full of surprises, but these two talented players made it a day to remember.

hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to round one action this is the FPO division getting us started the leader in the clubhouse after the first round Katrina Allen came to play here she is letting it loose on the law hole one but she would find early trouble a sluggish pace of play early would lead to some off play by Katrina she would hit the tree on hole two out of bounds find out of bounds again on a hole 3 laying up for the 5 here she would get back on track on the tough par 3 hole 6 and again here on the log hole 11 she would lay it out there to about 38 feet where she would be able to convert it was a hot hand until decision time on 17 yeah I would say 17 was kind of aggressive and a little bit risk/reward but I thought I'm playing well and I can get up and down if I do go B and I should still be sitting ok she would be able to clearly out of bounds and successfully convert that circles edge but leaving her on old 18 sitting 3-under par look at that disk go she hammers that stableness to the right side drawing it back setting up this circles edge conversion 4003 rated we caught up with Katrina after the round 2 asked how she shook off that early round rust I just felt like once we kind of got going and once I kind of got over the mess there I just forgot about it and and we had an awesome group I think that's the most fun I've had in a long time finding herself off the feature cards on round 1 Jessica we would be able to shake off a whole one and come back with three birdies and the next six holes she would find a little bit of trouble in the middle of the round but it was the hundred percent c1x putting that would save her all day long she would have a look for birdie on the tough 18 unfortunately can't quite knock it down but it is good enough to secure her a 1-under par and good for second place heading into round 2 the tale of the tape the c1x puting the ce-1 in regulation and the fairway hits all...
