2019 Glass Blown Open: FPO Final Round Recap
Watch as Katrina Allen and Paige Pierce face off in the thrilling final round of the 2019 Glass Blown Open at Emporia. With a six-stroke advantage entering the penultimate round, Allen seemed poised to secure her fourth GBO title. However, Pierce had other plans, using her experience from the previous day's mistake to convert a crucial birdie on the left side. The two golfers traded birdies and bogeys, with Pierce putting pressure on Allen to get up-and-down on par 3s and par 5s. welcome back everyone today we have final round action here in Emporia and strap up because round four was a wild ride entering the final round katrina allen had a six stroke advantage and she would look to put it in cruise control to secure her fourth GBO type unfortunately for her though page Pierce had other ideas here she is getting it started unholy one if you remember yesterday she did go out of bounds so the correction throwing it to the left side today she would be able to convert for her birdie for but Katrina Allen would continue the putting woes taking a bogey on the first hole instantly erasing two of those six strokes with Katrina and easy birdie range page would miss her attempt giving one of those she earned right back after a couple of par friends we would see Katrina throw in the putter up shot on hole 5 but leaking right and out of bounds page would toss in the easy birdie while Katrina would be able to convert that for save here on all seven both of our competitors would throw beautiful drives right to the center of the fairway here Katrina Allen bites off a bit more than Paige putting her in great position to secure her birdie three Pierce with the clean up shot putting the pressure on Katrina to get up-and-down to keep the frame square a little bit right side on the approach though page knocks in the birdie now it's Katrina's turn to answer and again missing the rather short putt and if you're thinking these strokes are going everywhere get used to it Allen would have a three-stroke advantage entering the ever dangerous par 5 hole 8 both would be in bounds off the tee Katrina those sliding out of bounds and Paige answering with an OB stroke of her own weight make that 2 OB strokes Katrina able to put it down the middle on her fourth shot here though is gonna be a bit out to save that heart Paige not able to convert the 6th save and she is visibly upset Katrina just lays up and we'll take her stroke cutting to hold 10 now the par 3 Katrina turns it over out of bounds leaving another opportunity for Paige to gain strokes she lays it up in the devastating wind and...
