what is up everybody and welcome back to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway we're back in the field with a quick reminder that field work doesn't always have to be super stressful it doesn't always have to be straight to the point i'm here to practice this although at times that is very necessary and essential in your learning sometimes you get to the field and you have to go back to the basics and using your imagination and what i mean by that is a lot of times when i'm in the field instead of just grinding out drills working on footwork i'll have fun and i'll go back to my favorite holes that i've ever played on tour and i'll imagine that those holes are right in front of me for example i'm about to practice hole 1 at the usdg which is winthrop gold now i know what you're thinking okay you're in the field how do you do that imagination i'm going to practice that tee shot for about 15 to 20 minutes now hole one at winthrop gold is the starting hole of the u.s championship and i truly believe that it's one of the most important starting home that i'll ever play because it sets the tone for one of the biggest tournaments that i'll play all year birdieing that hole is essential sometimes in having a great tournament or even a great round and this year i was lucky enough to actually birdie that hole every single round and i give credit to my field work and my imagination so instead of just assuming that i'm going to birdie that hole or throw that shot very well every time i'm gonna get back in the field i'm gonna have a little fun and play that tee shot over and over again so remember getting to the field doesn't always have to be to the point grind out this grind out that sometimes you're gonna have a little fun play your favorite holes that you've ever played right here and in turn you will work on what you need to work on to be successful at those holes now a lot of you may know and some of you may not know that i recently got sponsored by bushnell so i'm gonna take this time to...
