what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway i brought one of the best woods golfers of all time i have a lot of people who will definitely back that theory michael johansson and he's going to give you his number one tip on how to become a better woods golfer all right to me to be a better woods golfer and understand how to play woods golf your biggest thing in woods golf is to get over the idea of trying and wanting to park every hole be willing to hit a fairway hit a gap and give yourself an opportunity you don't have to park it because most designers of woods courses like to hide a basket just around the corner just enough to make you think oh i need to get up and throw a turnover or a sidearm into it where you can just throw it straight and learn to throw the disc straight and land in the fairway you'll give yourself a lot of awesome opportunities to score and that's the biggest thing to do in the woods golf give yourself a chance to score well and not be putting yourself in bad positions off the fairway or even just shorter your landing zone give yourself a chance to shoot well and score and enjoy your day as a throwing tip be willing to take and throw less stable discs more often than your faster high speed more overstable stuff that's going to move off the fairway at the end you want to be able to keep and control your disk so it lands and stops in the fairway even thing is only 10 15 feet wide even if you're just on the edge that three to five feet of difference makes a lot in your scoring ability and how you can keep your round going and even just your enjoyability of the event and whatever round you're shooting what great tips from michael about making sure that you don't try to park the hole take the straight line and throw a shot that you're comfortable with that way you don't get into trouble as soon as you start to get aggressive in the woods that's when you get those bad kicks and bogeys become inevitable thank you guys for watching this episode of...
