what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway i brought a nice guest jeremy colling and we're going to give you one tip that will help you with hyzer flip sidearms in the woods so any pro will tell you the most important shot to have in the bag is a straight shot it's the hardest shot to throw and it's a shot that gives us challenges still to this day even the top pros have challenges throwing a dead straight shot there's a lot of different ways to do it you can take a very stable disc and throw it flat and throw it hard and let it go straight you can force it with anhyzer and let it flex to the right and come back however the most common way is the hyzer flip to flat for me that's always been my trusty shot in the woods to keep my discs down the middle of the fairway what i like to do is i like to take a disc that's a little bit more understable than what people traditionally throw for forehands and i like to put it with a little bit of hyzer trust it down the middle and have the disc stand up and the disc do all the work that way i'm not throwing it harder than i need to i'm relying on the stability of the disc to flip up down the middle and glide down the middle of the fairway what a great tip from jeremy kohling who's known for having the best sidearm in the game make sure that you use a more understable disc flip it up to flat so you're in more control and you have that great control down the fairway and for my number one tip that i can give you for hyzer flips especially in the woods is keeping that elbow tucked in and making sure you emphasize that hyzer release and the follow through upwards if you can do that it's not a long stroke it's a shorter stroke and you can be a little bit more in control of those hyzer flip sidearms and just like other episodes that i filmed about the sidearm i really focus on putting a lot of rotations on the disc keeping that kind of tucked in but then...
