what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway in today's episode of down the fairway I'm going to be touching base on something I see a lot of people overlook and that's getting practice on elevated bastards the game of disc golf is ever-changing and one of the things that I've noticed in recent years is there are more elevated baskets on the tour and even on your local course with that comes another thing that you need to practice and I don't see people doing this enough what I see people doing is when they get to the courses they just practice their normal punch with their normal stances and sure I'm sure they'll practice straddle cuts maybe a couple uneven lives or something like that but I see this aspect getting overlooked time and time again so I suggest the next time you're playing your home course or even practicing in your backyard elevate your basket put it on a picnic table or a chair that way you can get a couple reps for that high release because whether you like it or not it's not going to be that same release that you practice over and over with your normal stance it's actually going to be completely different so my advice to you is when you're playing your home course and you actually have an elevated basket get a few extra putts in maybe your group walks to the next hole and you sit back and throw three or four more extra putts that way you can really get that high release dialed in some people don't have the luxury of having a practice basket at their house they can just elevate I see that so I suggest going to the course finding your basket that has the highest elevation maybe a slope behind it or something and just walk to the bottom of the slope and get some reps in like for example behind me I have a flat butt to the right I have a very predominant slow so all's I have to do is walk right down here and I can practice that high release because it is a different release than your regular stroke I see this a lot on the Pro Tour and what reminded me about this is I'm going back on tour in a couple weeks...
