what's up everybody and welcome to another episode of down the fairway I'm dedicating this episode of doubt in the fairway to the weekend warrior or your weekend golf or somebody who doesn't get to practice as often as they'd like maybe they have a home life that family they have all obviously a full work schedule and practicing is just out of the question so I'm going to be giving you my number one cutting tip for somebody who can't practice on the regular the biggest mistake I see amateurs and professionals making when practicing or even in a tournament is this not leaving their hand up after the stroke has been made which means I see a lot of people putting and right after it releases their hand their hand drops now this is a really bad habit and the reason I say it's a bad habit is because leaving your hand up is the one way not practicing a lot can actually help you as soon as you drop your hand you don't know where your release point was which means you will not know why the result of your putt actually happened because you've already dropped your hand sure I made both of those putts but I have no idea how I made them I just putted it forward my disc went forward and I got lucky because my release was similar each time a consistent stroke looks a little bit more like this so my suggestion to you is after you've made your stroke hold your hand up until the disc has stopped moving completely whether you've missed it or made it because then with holding your hand up you'll exactly know how you made it or if you missed it you'll know exactly how you missed it now for the weekend golfer somebody who doesn't get a lot of practice time this is going to result in more consistent putting leaving that hand up will tell you exactly why you missed and how you missed now through the course of a few rounds doing this it's not going to take hours and hours on the pudding ring you're gonna find out right away how you're missing the reason you're missing and you're going to then pinpoint your release point and you're gonna have a more consistent one after that I hope you guys liked...
