what up everybody and welcome to episode 3 of down the fairway in today's episode I'm gonna be explaining a term I use a lot for my students and other clinics and that is miss tendency and how this is very useful and not only you practice tournament play or just a couple friendly rounds with your buddies how do you find your miss tendency I suggest going to a field or one specific hole and bring ten disks once you're at this spot in the field or the specific hole I want you to pick out a target kind of in the air and in the background of where you want to aim so I want you to pick a spot where your disc is going to go to and then I want you to pick a spot where it's going to land as you throw these ten shots I want you to calculate where you miss which means do you pull it do you release it early do you release it low or do you release it high after about 20 shots or so you're actually gonna find out where you miss the most often now finding your missed tendency is going to change from shot to shot that's why it's super important to get to the field before you play around and practice all the shots required for that particular course like today I know my miss tendency has been a bit early instead of late which means I can hug this tree on the right knowing that I'm not going to yank it that way if I miss early of my aiming point and my landing point I still have a chance of throwing a really good shot as you can see finding your missed tendency can definitely help you sometimes more than it can hurt you until next time I'll see you down the fairway
