I mean if you compare life in Canada to the United States it certainly seems a little more isolated a little more barren a little less the reality of life in Canada is it's very robust very healthy it's subtle subtlety is probably the the biggest word that I can use to describe life in Nova Scotia or the Maritimes in general the majority of people here still get their hands dirty you know still all their own wood and they're appreciative of nature trails they're out on the beaches they're there I got a place at the lake you know they're there camping and fishing and so I think most most Maritimers feel a real a kinship with with being outdoors disc golf just fits every every policy every practical you know pragmatic thing about Maritimers they just don't know it yet Ben Smith he is a character I've never met anyone like him he's good energy he's high energy and he he gets things done he's kind of the driver for disc golf in the Maritimes in a lot of ways he's responsible for most of the courses that they have in the ground he loves it so much that Foreman maybe not doesn't even feel like work because that's what he loves to do you gotta meet him you just gotta meet him be I always love the question they know what is it why isn't disc golf bigger what can we do to grow it and there's no simple solution to it it's so many layers and so many things some work some don't sometimes you run an event and only three people show up and it turns out that one of those people build a course two years later you know and so it's not always more is better it's quality over quantity I was a part of the group that founded an organization in the Maritimes called the MDG a maritime disc golf Association it's a good five years where we've been into this we've run probably 3040 PDG events and a multitude of other events I do teach about 40 to 280 days a year teaching the game I've built 20-plus courses at this juncture and each one of them there is people who have supported me and helped me and are behind me and I've done it in conjunction with so right...
