2026 Jonesboro Open | FPO R1B9 | Saarinen, Handley, Mertsch, Laine | Jomez Disc Golf
The 2026 Jonesboro Open is the latest stop on the Pro Tour Elite Series, and the back nine of round one is full of exciting moments. Hosts Erikica Stinchcom and Madison Walker welcome viewers to the fourth event of their tour, which has a rich history dating back nine years. The course, which looks better than ever, features challenging wind conditions that require precision and strategy from the players. Standout performances are led by Colin Hanley and Taylor Chosk, who dominate the field with strong rounds. However, it's not just about scoring well – it's also about navigating the unique 10th hole, a par five with out-of-bounds lines on both sides of the fairway that demands precise placement and angle control. Katrina, in particular, shows impressive skill, using forehands to manage her shots effectively and capitalize on gaps in the course design.

Hello and welcome to the back nine of round one of the 2026 played against sports Jonesboro Open presented by Westside Discs. We at the disc side of heaven. It's our fourth stop on the Pro Tour Elite Series. I'm Erikica Stinchcom. I'm Madison Walker. We're your two hockey honk. We are watching some windy conditions out here. We took a gap year. We're back at Jonesboro after it was an A tier last year. Last time we were here was two years ago. It's our ninth year here overall though, which is crazy. And the course is looking better than ever. Colin Hanley doing the best on our feature card at two down. Taylor Chosk leading the field at five. Got a few fours uh and twos and ones. Not not the crazy hot scores we would see if it was calm conditions, that's for sure. Hold 10 818 ft. It is the par five that we're used to seeing as we come down the stretch for the win. The final hole of the day. Uh this is such a cool hole. It really it's unlike any hole we play in the rest of tour. Uh it's out of bounds all the way down the left side and on the second half of the right side. The T-OT is a little bit scary because that OB does come into play so quickly. Even if you hit the gap perfectly, if you're on the wrong angle, you are sailing OB over that left side fence. You really want to place this shot nicely. Henna coming out early and getting a really favorable little tree kick to the perfect landing zone. >> I feel like that used to be the perfect landing zone, but now we're seeing ladies get so far on this. It's crazy. It's so fun to watch Katrina. Anything past that steak is >> Wow. >> So good. >> That is crushed. This used to be a decision of which side you were going. Ha didn't make the decision. She's kind of going up the middle. Maybe that was is a bad play. There's gaps. I Oh, they did bring in the right side OB pretty tight on the green this year. I can't remember if it's exactly like that, but I think it's tighter. >> Katrina with a really well-managed forehand. Perfect distance. It's sets her up...
