2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open | R2F9 LEAD | McBeth, Wysocki, Dickerson, Gibson | Jomez
The 2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open presented by Disc Craft is a thrilling event on the Jomez Pro tour, featuring a star-studded cast of disc golf pros including Ricky Wysocki, Drew Gibson, Macbeth, and Chris Dickerson. The two-day tournament takes place at Northwood Park, with two unique courses: the Eureka course, known for its challenging design, and the Black Course, notorious for its punishing rough throughout. As tournament director Nate Heinle explains, Ledgestone's origins date back to 2011 as a small insurance agency promotion, but it has since grown into a massive 2000-person megaplex with two distinct courses showcasing different skill sets. Watch as these top professionals navigate the treacherous Black Course, and witness Ricky Wysocki's impressive 11 under par in round one, demonstrating his expertise with the low profile grip6.

hello and welcome to day two of the 2021 ledgestone insurance open presented by disc craft you're watching the disc golf pro tour on jomez pro with nate sexton jeremy colling and paul ulaberry hello everyone and let's get into that grip6 low profile first up we have got ricky wysocki 11 under par in round one 100 circle one putting already in 72 percent of those holes these are gonna be some stats they're gonna be changing around here today but drew gibson also 11 under fantastic starting round over at eureka all macbeth 10 down parking the holes at a high percentage and rounding out the card chris dickerson also turned out we've got an all-star cast for a very challenging course today my name is nate heinle and i am the tournament director of the discraft ledgestone insurance open ledgestone actually started as a way to promote the insurance agency back in 2011. it was a small event it wasn't even sanctioned the first year had 105 players right here at northwood park over the years it's grown and grown and grown and now it's own little 12 course 2000 person megaplex we like the concept of having one open course with eureka and one wooded course here at the black course at northwood really allows different skill sets to shine when we won the bid for worlds in 2019 we took the original course here at northwood added some holes to create the gold course that was always intended to be a short-term thing though it took a while we were able to eventually create the second course here which takes just a few holes from the gold course and builds 12 additional holes onto that the gold course had some more open areas that allowed shots maybe not to be punished the same way but the black course is punishing in the rough the entire way through the course a top professional shouldn't be throwing above probably a 10 speed on this course even though it's 10 500 feet long you really shouldn't be throwing high speed drivers because if you get off of the fairway deep enough you're pitching sideways and so we designed the course to have intermediary rough and then thick rough and so if you get just off the fairways you have a chance to proceed forward if you get too...
