hello disc golf world my name is kevin jones and joining me today is my friend luke humphries we are bringing you guys the 2021 open at belton sponsored by disc craft this is a disc golf pro tour silver series event so a lot of stakes going on here yeah that is correct you're getting a quarter of the points that you'd normally get at a dgpt event and we'll see we see this card here today we've got a paul rick battle that i am stoked to watch kev yeah it's been a while since we've seen something like this but this is what they used to do normally week in and week out just dominate the field and battle it out and keep pushing each other together that's kind of what it's looking like today but keep your eyes out for calvin heinberg who just shot 16 under yesterday so he's looking to make a huge push today as well behind him we've also got alex russell and company yeah half dozen back from the leaders and here we are at hole one hole one we've got a strong right to left wind here which is a slightly different variation of the wind that we've seen as opposed to this past week um but it's gonna help discs travel around this right side um around the trees because the trees are gonna bring in danger if you were to hit a tree throwing the hyzer you could possibly fall down into out of bounds which would be very costly totally you're able to take that one wider outside the tree line not really worry about it distance not being a problem these guys are going to go real wide i'd guess paul shot really high never has a chance of hitting the tree needs to spike oh with that ground play though it's going to bring him just outside the circle it looks like for his first part of the day yeah we're playing in texas now this is hard pan don't see discs digging into the ground as much as you'd see in other states rick one stroke back hasn't had a win yet on tour this year you kind of see the passion the fire in his eye this week it's a bit different yeah he's hungry and determined that's for sure looking to put...
