ঠিক আছে। >> ঠিক আছে। >> আমরা এখানে গ্যারেট বিওলার একটি তাৎক্ষণিক সাক্ষাৎকারের জন্য এসেছি। >> গনেশাবার। >> হুম। হ্যাঁ। তো, তোমার মাঝের নাম কী? >> ফ্রেডেরিক। >> আমি এটা জানতাম । >> জানতে? >> হ্যাঁ। >> ওহ, সম্ভবত আমার বাবার কাছে শুনেছ। >> হ্যাঁ, তোমার বাবার কাছ থেকে । >> হ্যাঁ। আমার দাদুর নামানুসারে এই নাম রাখা হয়েছে । >> চমৎকার। মনে হয় তোমার বাবাকে করা আমার প্রথম প্রশ্ন এটাই ছিল। কেন যেন। আমি জানি না কেন । >> কাউকে জিজ্ঞেস করার জন্য এটা একটা ভালো প্রশ্ন। >> হ্যাঁ। >> হ্যাঁ। >> খুবই চমৎকার। তুমি কখন থেকে ফ্রিসবি গলফে যুক্ত হলে, একদম জন্মের পর থেকে? >> জন্মের পর থেকে? ইশ, যদি হতো! আগে শুরু করলে হয়তো আরও ভালো খেলতাম, কিন্তু । >> এটা তুমি কীভাবে উচ্চারণ করলে? >> উহ, ঠিক আছে। আমি নয় বছর বয়স থেকে শুরু করি। আমি আইওয়াতে নতুন একটি শহরে উঠলাম এবং আমার বাড়ির পেছনেই বড় একটি পার্ক ছিল। তাই আমার খেলার জন্য অনেক জায়গা ছিল । আমি সবসময় খেলাধুলা করতে ভালোবাসতাম। যেকোনো কিছু। বাস্কেটবল, বেসবল। আমি বুমেরাং পছন্দ করতাম। সরাসরি বলতে গেলে সবকিছুই। আমি ইউটিউবে ব্রোডি স্মিথকে বাস্কেটবল হুপে ফ্রিসবি দিয়ে ট্রিক শট করতে দেখলাম। আর আমাদের পার্কে একটা হুপ ছিল। তাই আমি স্থানীয় স্পোর্টিং গুডস দোকান শিল্ডস-এ গেলাম । আর ভুল করে একটা ফায়ারবার্ড কিনে ফেললাম। এভাবেই সবকিছুর শুরু। আমার বয়স ছিল নয় বছর। আর সালটা ছিল ২০১৪। গ্রীষ্মকালের কথা। আমি কিছুদিন আলটিমেট ফ্রিসবিও খেলেছিলাম। কিন্তু আমি কোনো দলের অংশ ছিলাম না। তাই আমি কিছুটা বিরক্ত হয়ে গেলাম। তারপর আমি ডিস্ক গলফ শুরু করলাম। আমার প্রতিবেশীর কাছে একটি বাস্কেট ছিল। তাই তিনি আমাকে সেটা দিয়ে দিলেন। এরপর প্রতিদিন সারাদিন শুধু খেলতাম। পাঁচ ঘণ্টা বাইরে থাকতাম। এক প্যাকেট গামি ওয়ার্মস আর একটা স্প্রাইট খেতাম। আবার বাইরে যেতাম এবং দিনের শেষটা করতাম। এভাবে টানা দুই- তিন বছর আমি করেছি। এরপর খুব দ্রুতই টুর্নামেন্টে খেলা শুরু করলাম। >> আকর্ষণীয়। নয় বছর বয়সে ফায়ারবার্ড কেনার টাকা কোথায় পেলে? >> ওহ, বোকা নাকি। আমি জানি না। ২০ ডলার ছিল। আসলে তখন আরও সস্তায় পাওয়া যেত। প্রিমিয়াম প্লাস্টিকের হয়তো ১৫ ডলার ছিল। >> তাই হবে। >> এখন তো প্রায় ৩০ ডলার। >> তুমি তো শুরু থেকেই একদম মত্ত হয়ে খেলেছ । >> এক রকম বলতে পারো। >> তোমাকে শেখানোর মতো কোনো কোচ ছিল না ? >> কোনো কোচ ছিল না । আমি নিজেই নিজেকে শিখিয়েছি। উহ, ইউটিউব দেখে। আমি মূলত আজও তাই করি। আমি ফর্ম দেখি এবং সেটা নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করি। চেষ্টা করি বোঝার যে কেন এটা কাজ করে। আমার...
