Welcome everyone [music] to the 2026 Australian Open. We're here in Taupo, New Zealand. Brought to you by Go Throw and the Tour Down Under, presented by MVP [music] Disc Sports. I'm Sarah Hokom here with Paul Oman to call the call the shots. Yeah, thanks for having me in the booth this evening. Going to mix [music] it up and do a little FPO coverage with you and I'm looking forward to it. We are here in beautiful Taupo, New Zealand [music] at Spa Park. Um last year I made it here and quickly became one of my favorite courses I've ever played. This is the beautiful Huka Falls that you can take a nice short hike to from the course or you can drive over and check it out. But uh we've got an amazing card here at Spa Park today starting off with Taylor Taylor Rick Chosik. Had a a wonderful showing last weekend down in Taranaki at the first event for the TDU. And uh looking to clean it up, maybe get a little dub here in Taupo. Jen Smiley's up next, MVP [music] Disc Disc Sports player. She won last weekend. Yeah. >> In Taranaki. >> Yeah, between her and uh Taylor, not to be a spoilers here, but uh they put on quite a show. And [music] Jennifer coming out on top. Next on the card, we got Cat Merch, very familiar face in the States, but making her first go here down in New Zealand. And >> [music] >> um yeah, a very strong competitor. I I think a lot of folks down here are stoked to see her down. And [music] coming in our four spot, Paige Pierce. She came for these this event and the next [music] the next event uh here in New Zealand. Is this her first time here? I do believe so, yeah. She didn't get much practice. She did the skins yesterday, played most of this course blind today. It's going to be a fun one. Yeah, the wind has really uh kind of elevated today [music] and Paige has got her work cut out for her if she hasn't got a couple reps on this course cuz there's definitely a lot of OB.
