it is round one of the true bank des moines challenge presented by this craft we are out here at pickard park we are over halfway into the season i'm madison walker i'm erica stinchkum we're the two huggies hawk this is personally my first time here but i've always heard great things me too yeah it's a really great track and uh excited to get into it and iowa nice is a real thing the tournament staff is so cool julianna korver paige pierce kristen tatar and missy gannon out here attacking the much more wide open fairways but ob lined of pickard park missy last year's winner of course um this is two rounds right yeah this is only the second year as a pro tour event it was a major in 2005 in like a b tier that julianna korver has won a million times okay so she she's no stranger to these fairways hole one par four downhill 542 feet but halfway down the fairway it goes back uphill the ob pinches around the basket it's right on the circle's edge around the back side to the right of the green this is very birdiable it played as the easiest hole of the day that's nice this is the 9 50 time first on the pad out of orange city iowa please welcome juliana korver okay you ready for this she's won this event six times always be tears in 96 97 98 99 2000 and 2003. wow and the one year it was a um a national tour i believe she got second place pretty cool to see her back at it and really shredding all year oh yeah solid tee shot pensacola florida paige pierce i don't know if i mentioned it in the whole preview but there is out of bounds all the way down all sides of the fairway on this hole it's a pretty common theme we see out here on these more wide open holes surrounded by tall grass paige tied for third with kristen tatar last year at this event and that's a good shot just kind of pushing that ob but not really she gets way up there it's gonna be such an easy birdie so like i said kristin tied for third last year um check this out she's 13 for 13 podiums at elite series events...
