hello and welcome to the 2022 texas state's disc golf championship this is a disc golf pro tour elite series event i'm holly finley here in the booth with madison walker and we're so excited to check out the back nine of round two there's a little more wind today we're going into these open holes after the front nine where there weren't a ton of mistakes they kept it nice and clean like they need to there are a lot more birdie opportunities in the back for them to capitalize on to keep their positions in the lead you can see it's a pretty tight race behind the top four everyone hanging out around just under par and they want to keep that as we go into the open holes just in case you don't remember from the front nine we're watching katrina allen paige pierce kristen tatar and missy gannon attack the back nine of the thorn hole 10 is a par 3. i really like this hole even though it's a little shorty there's a lot of danger you want to get through these four little pencil trees pick your gap whichever one you want straight hyzer and heiser we had a little bit of a head and right to left cross one here the out of bounds is just behind the basket inside the circle you have to penetrate forward before you can go down so you can't get that nose down control angle you like it's just about trusting your disc blindly i like to see the height people take paige throws it as high as the top of those trees and wow wow i feel like that was a save by the sand the world may never know paige picking that straight angle and just letting the putter float straight kristen has a little more of a hyzer angle on the disc checking up way before the road she'll be at circle's edge that was her harp and that is an overstable approached us you can see katrina lining up for a bit of a different angle than everyone else she's got more of a hyzer approach that was her signature sp rift it is her first edition and that's gonna be like you know 40-footer downhill looking at the ob road but and y'all go check out katrina's new discs that sp rift...
