it is the disc craft ledge stone open presented by bushnell we're in peoria illinois and we're opening up this tournament at northwood park the black course this place is a beast i'm madison walker i'm erika stinchkum we're the two hotkeys and we're back we've missed you guys um this course is brutal we had some tea time starting super early 7am was the first one out of the gate but today we're watching paige pierce sarah hokam alexis mandijano and kristen tatar finally back in the united states yeah super stellar card to start this off uh northwoods black is just yeah a brutal track if you get off the fairways at all but there are birdies out here and a couple of shorter tee pads so it's a little bit more attackable than in the past a little bit yeah they cleaned up some of the edges of the fairway too which is really nice and very noticeable uh hole one is a long par three it is downhill 455 feet plays a little shorter than that there's this very nice uh little wall along the left-hand side that blocks you from going out of bounds right side is not friendly though you just want to throw something kind of at the ground hope you get some good ground play playing aggressive to the green is not common but it is 950 tee time and first on the tee from pensacola florida paige pierce right out the gate we're playing the second most difficult hole on the course and i think that just comes from a lack of birdies more than anything it's not a particularly difficult hole compared to the rest of the course narrow gap off the tee but after that it's pretty easy to stay in bounds and stay out of trouble as long as you don't fade out left you can definitely scramble paige of course the defending champion of the 2021 ledgestone and she won in 2019 as well she's won this event five times in 13 starts dang yeah she doesn't caldwell idaho sarah holcomb christie paige not really trying to bite off too much just keeping in the middle and relying on her approach game to get that par hocum coming off her win at mid-america open last weekend um she has let's see six podium finishes and has played...
