hey hey hey looks like it's a great day for disc golf welcome to the 2022 disc craft great lakes open i am ravencline i'm ella hansen and we are covering your round one fpo feature card this is a beautiful course so i'm really excited but uh let's look at who we have we got paige pierce katrina allen alexis mondojano and missy gannon so very powerful card a lot of discraft representation and ready to show show this course who's boss we're going to be looking at lots of elevation changes on this course starting with hole one right next to the the big old toboggan hill uh this is a par three 516 feet you can see the ob staked on the left there's some rough grass and trees and uh stuff on the right and of course a nice elevated basket this is the second most difficult hole on the day so starting it off with a nervy one it you kind of really gotta commit to your shot um and it's a it's a pretty scary starting home 40th annual great lakes open presented by we're discraft ready for our 9 35 tee times team first from pensacola florida paige pierce with this hole uh even though it curves to the right you're gonna see more players opting for the backhand turnover shot and just hoping that everyone commits to that full throw it's always a tester for hole one paige is throwing her the passion one of her signature series discs nice drifting shot that's a very common mistake on hole one is you're trying so hard to avoid the ob that usually you might turn it over a little bit and i saw a few players cut roll ob on the drive and there is kind of a little side slope next to the ob that can prevent that roll into the out of bounds but if you're cut rolling too hard it's not going to stop it no it acts a little bit more like a ramp than anything this is looking nice from katrina as long as it holds the line and doesn't fade out and oh damn getting way down there but just skipping out of bounds what's this montreal unlike some of the other holes on the course if you do go too far right this ruff is one...
