it is the first major of the year and the first time we have played a major at this course it is the pdga champions cup presented by bushnell it is also a disc golf pro tour event we are so excited to be playing in the woods i'm madison walker i'm erica stinchcomb we are the two hot geese um it's at the international disc golf center there's a cool historical museum here there's also two other courses on the property but we'll be playing w r jackson and we get to watch kona panas paige pierce katrina allen and kristen tatar attack the wide wooded fairways of this beautiful course yeah i absolutely love this track it it plays hard but fair gonna see some really nice lines today the whole one is a striking example of just how beautiful these fairways are really tall trees not a ton of undergrowth so you can scramble from the sides of fairways it's a par four at 660 feet you want to land your drive somewhere just past this little stump on the right hand side setting yourself up for a distance driver on your second shot you can get to the pin here i think we will see some putts for birdie but these trees right here in the middle that we're flying through right now can tangle up your disk and force you to take the par if you're out of position off the tee it is really hard to recover and that's where we'll see most of the scrambling starting champions common place to take the right side gap pushing straight with a little fade at the end but you can't throw a forehand or turn over on the left hand side and still land in the optimum landing zone here's the right side play kona getting every bit of distance you need to get through that gap and progress beyond those final trees on the usw left champion paige pierce paige throwing is zeus i'm sure on the right side as well she won worlds here in 2017 it wasn't two different courses and this time we will see all four rounds here this is a little early and that's gonna be that tough scramble like you were talking about south dakota four-time qualifier including 2021 pdj pro world champion katrina allen who knows if it's...
