welcome back disc golfers you are watching your 2021 vintage open presented by dynamic discs my name is kevin jones and joining me today is my favorite canadian thomas gilbert thomas how you doing man doing good okay i appreciate the compliment there yeah no offense to all the other great canadians out there i've truly never met a bad one um so that's pretty cool to say but here we are this is the vintage open we've got some great action for you guys today check out this beautiful drone flight from gk pro yeah a really really beautiful quarry here in the background doing some nice drone flights here and really getting that picturesque views here we are about to start off the round on hole one this is a par three 395 feet this is a really tricky hole to get the wind is down so unfortunately these players will be able to attack it today you want to just get over this creek here which is about 450 feet away from the t-pad that's exactly right that creek is the main obstacle on this hole other than the huge single tree in the middle of the fairway um we do have a tailwind today i believe you know it's a weird day though because a storm had just rolled through before they teed off delaying around 45 minutes so honestly i expect that there's probably different conditions than when i played my round earlier yeah very true good observation there gavin looks like ripping over on his sky rider pd2 and his back just outside circle that is a great shot there yeah huge shot from gavin he can bomb though he's got a massive arm absolutely another guy with a massive arm calvin heinberg been playing great golf all year very consistent ripping his drive a little low there all right catches the grass there that's going to grab before that will be we'll have a short little up shot here is up and down for par on the box we have adam hammers from wisconsin yeah very solid putter that's probably the main highlight of his game but he also has a very controllable forehand shot and backhand combo yeah he's really well rounded that's gonna get a little out of control from him there but oh and there is danger right down there...
