welcome back disc golf world my name is kevin jones and i'm here with luke humphries we are bringing you guys your final round back nine coverage of the texas state disc golf championships presented by latitude 64. luke you ready to finish this off yes sir i am stoked to be here with you guys we've got a little bit of a slow start from our card but heating up heading into a great scoring back nine quick look in at what the rest of the field is doing rick and matt leading the field kind of pushing themselves away a bit chris and paul trying to chase him down garrett gerthy playing a solid round much harder scoring conditions than we've seen wind actually a factor in these trees today kev yeah and some of the holes especially this one actually will see some wind coming off the left side of the fairway kind of pushing your disc ever so slightly to the right that's not the worst though great shots land right there where we just flew over and we're now shooting into the second part of the hole um i don't know it's like almost like a big arena-like feel for me with all the tall trees and really thick shrubbridge on the outside of it and then the inside's just so clean yeah lots of pine straw tons of ground play on this hole and a true two-shotter that requires two great shots i'd say throwing a backhand like that a backhand flex shot off the tee has got to be a more dangerous and more aggressive route definitely pretty aggressive routes nikko doing it as well totally missing his line and he's going to be penalized that's on the other side of a little wall of trees blocking him off from getting back to the fairway yeah he's going to be looking to just get a shot out to the center of the fairway from there trying to save par yeah exactly typical play will see a forehand down the left side trying to push it push it straight so it doesn't skip too far into the rough here that's well done exactly that's i love the forehand play on this hole it's really important that you like you said push it as far straight as possible so that you avoid that skip yeah...
