all right back at the portland open press conference with uh ricky wysocki you got a birthday coming up man you got to be feeling pretty good this week yeah yeah i always spend my birthday up here in the northwest normally it's uh for the beaver state playing but this week it's the portland open so it's uh it's always nice to to have a tradition and keep my birthday on this northwest wing well happy early birthday um just want to kind of hear your keys for attacking this brand new course that we've never seen before yeah it's it's a bomber i mean i think it reminds me a lot of otb as far as the length and distance i think it's even longer um there's you know it's all about the par fours a lot of the par fours are just bomb bomb drives and bomb rollers and then you know throw a throw thrown up shot into the into the green but i think it's gonna be a lot about throwing it's a throwers course this week i think um obviously you gotta make putts too but you gotta you gotta throw 550 600 feet just to get in position to have a high percentage second shot so it's gonna be a lot a lot about uh controlling your controlling distance throwing rollers when you need to and uh just giving yourself a chance uh off the tee how much is that going to stress your game i mean right now you're leading in parked percentage circle one in regulation and birdie percentage on the tour this year so but you said it's a throwers course so it's maybe a little more that off the t skill needed yeah i mean i think that you know obviously you still have to put good even even if it's a throwers course but um yeah i've been throwing really well this year i think that that's something you know a big reason why i've been playing so well and i'm definitely gonna keep that keep that going this week and uh you know i've got you know two practice rounds out here which i think is solid enough to where i know the course i know the lines i know the landing zones i know the distances from all the different uh spots that i've been landing...
