and we are back with the genius the mastermind designer behind the otb open course mr leonard muse thank you for joining us today it's great to be here and you are the otb open designer both last year and this year can you tell us a little bit about your design experience and your time in disc golf really well i started playing disc golf at huntington beach in 82 long time ago i was a frisbee person who started a club and somebody in the club knew about disc golf so we took a field trip and then i i competed quite a bit in the 80s in the overalls when golf was just one of the games in the frisbee competition um fast forward quite a bit um i finally got a chance to do a permanent design because i did a ton of tournament temporary designs for golden gate park in 2007. it's a great first course to have an opportunity to design along with my good friend ross hammond and then you know when when that community got to the point they wanted to do a pro level event the glenn eagles course in san francisco we knew when we put that course in it would likely bring the pro tour there and so um designed that for that level of play and then stretched it even more when the players did come to town and so i was working with sean and sean there went great and so when we moved the circus to stockton um they brought me along so that's how i ended up doing the designs last year and this year again very cool and it's a bit of a redesign for this year can you tell us some of the critical information that you learned from last year to help influence this year yeah i mean there's no i don't travel much to see the top players right i basically stay in the west and so i see them once or twice a year and seeing them play holes i design just gave me a finer sense of what what they can and can't do you know in a couple cases i missed it i'm like oh wow they can't take that route and so that was that's always good because i'm out there imagining as somebody who never threw...
