welcome back everyone joining us now is cat merch and kat i've got a few interesting statistics for you some results over the last couple of years i want to break down 2021 we saw you 39th at lvc 26th at waco and 13th at belton fast forward a year you improved 30 spots to 9th at lvc 4th at waco and 16th at belton what does that say is you jump from 39th to 9th and 26th to 4th what is that saying about your season right now mid-range practice mid-range practice it's that simple so if you were giving a clinic today or you were doing a q a anywhere else you would sit everybody down and you'd say let's throw mid-ranges what about them they're just good they actually i feel like a mid-range is more of a true flight like a putter in the mid-range because they're slow and they're going to show your errors more and i had a lot of errors with those discs last year and i decided in the off season to only work with mid-ranges and putters and i've seen improvement and it's good i i would say so as you're moving up 30 and 22 spots at events year over year now when you say showing your heirs do you feel like you weren't throwing them correctly or were you maybe not throwing them enough what about your mid-range game specifically was lacking it's the feel it's the feel of like throwing a good shot with the mid-range it's like correct the flight is correct it's not perfect but it's more correct but it's not only just the mid-range practice i think working on my mental health and mental game like outside of disc golf and within disc golf has also helped improvement so i'll follow that up and say what are some of the things that you're doing if again you're giving tips or advice to somebody out there in terms of mental awareness health and everything else what are some of the things that have worked for you reading taking time to be completely alone with yourself that's a big thing if you're not happy if you're alone with yourself then you might want to start reconsidering what you need to work on as a person and stuff i journal i meditate i burn sage i play with...
