all right we are here in clearwater minnesota ahead of the preserve championships kicking off the press conference with tour director jeff spring jeff when you look around this place you know what's the first thing that comes in your mind uh progression i think this is a sign of progression for the sport uh in terms of venue development this is a great piece of property for us on the northern mississippi river kail's done a great job developing it normally three courses 180 acres dedicated to one course thousands of people um plenty of room for vendors spectators big grandstands it's a beautiful thing you know we've seen these elite series courses evolve you know otb changed portland changed now the preserve has some tweaks i mean how crucial is that moving forward for the pro tour yeah i mean constant evolution continual improvement core value of the disc golf pro tour so you know we work with our stakeholders our event teams our partners our sites to to continue to evolve i think this year uh kale will speak to it more the course has gotten slightly tougher he's making great improvements um on like two to three holes a year it seems like at this rate beautiful like permanent t-pads that you'll see out here and i think the most notable change uh hole 11 which is now one of the best holes on the course from kind of like a tweener take us back to 2020 when we didn't know what was happening you talked to kale disc golf was back you said we're coming to minnesota what were those early conversations like and what has led us to this point yeah i mean it was serendipitous um definitely a lot of synchronicity in that moment in time we had been talking about the preserve before the panda pandemic suspended tour operations and when it got going the west coast was still shut down so as i've said in the past we moved to the midwest coast and uh doug bjerkers and and the ddo stepped up and it was an easy choice to come up here and um didn't feel like a risk at all super crazy busy stretch of the season i guess it hasn't even stopped or slowed down a major next week in europe and yeah what do you envision the...
