hello doug how's it going brian erhart here with disc golf network a big question for you and i've been meaning to ask someone at dd this for a while every year i come back here i see this incredible charm that emporia seems to have and it's almost bizarre how well they welcome disc golfers into this little town what does it take for a business like dynamic discs that started on ebay to build a relationship with a town like this to grow it as much as it has brian that's a great question i i've always told people i think we're in a perfect storm and uh i can't tell you how many chambers of commerce or convention and visitors bureaus have called us and said hey we want to we want to do what you guys did there how do you do it and uh we're we're smack dab in the center center of the country which makes it easy for people to get here we've got a disc golf company here in town dynamic discs we were big enough to have the things that you need to be able to draw people for disc golf like multiple parks hotels restaurants things like that but we're also small enough that when a large group of people come to town it makes a huge impact i was in denver for about 10 years and we ran some really nice tournaments there but we could bring 2000 disc golfers to denver and who cares i mean it's just a blip but when you're in a town of 25 000 and you bring 2500 to town that's a 10 increase in your in your population and your spending and it's it's just been awesome and uh uh and emporia just has this uh this kind of crazy awesome hospitality too i i the first time i came to emporia i i didn't work for dynamic discs i was in denver and i came out to play a glass blown open and i remember driving into town seeing these signs on businesses welcome disc golfers welcome to the what was then the gbo welcome to the gbo you'd go into a business and someone would see your shirt and had disc golf on it and they'd be like oh you're here for the tournament and i've been to tournaments all...
