welcome back everyone joining us now is our 2017 hall of fame inductee and member in test reading in our 2018 class in jay reading guys we could go on for hours unfortunately we only have 10 minutes we could go on for hours with your accolades and everything else that you have done but you're certainly fixtures here in texas and texas disc golf i want to start with you des been playing a long time we're seeing you out on the tour playing a ton this year you picked up a new sponsor how exciting is that with the new sponsor it's super exciting to be on the tour again i guess i really never stopped uh in 2022 we'll mark our 30th year of playing disc golf we found disc golf in 1992 so it's very exciting i'm really excited with the disc golf pro tour the new crop of woman women that are coming out even with the us women's it's sold out in two hours with 72 pro women they bump the field up to a hundred it's outstanding to still be a part of this it has been incredible seeing the growth you've obviously had a large part of that in helping foster women's disc golf the competitive side what are some of the we'll say the triumphs that you feel like you've directly impacted on the women's disc golf you know competition sure i mean i'll just use the us women's for an example so i have been a peoria frisbee club member since my beginning in disc golf it was one of the places that i went to play and i started a golden ticket program and would hand make invitations and i handed those out for about seven years on tour to make sure women knew that you could come and play with this it wasn't invite only like the us ggc was at that time so that was a great foster for women and plus all the free clinics that i've given over those 20 some plus years of playing um has definitely impacted the growth and speaking of all of those years of playing you know we have a little bit of recency bias out there we've seen what players like katrina and paige pierce have been doing and how dominant they've been over the last 10 years but...
