welcome back to gatekeeper media's new year's resolutions it is day 28 and today we're going to be throwing some overstable up shots this is kind of the counterpoint to when we were throwing a putter back and forth with a friend and trying to get it to come in soft and flat we're going to look at a couple different cases of hyzers anhyzers for backhands and forehands all the while trying to beat obstacles that are between us and the basket to the left or right on hyzers in particular what i'm trying to do is make sure that i give the disc enough width to fall back in towards the basket and have it come in and let the angle and the slow speed just kill the momentum i want it to come in sharp enough that it's going to dig but not roll or skip let's try a couple reps for four hands the idea is the same we want to push the disc through the gap and have it come in so that it's moving slowly and not going to skip roll or do anything crazy when it gets there didn't really trust the width on that let's make sure we get it all the way there try as many reps with those as it takes this is a really crucial and simple shot that you're going to see a lot of times every round in every tournament an anhyzer release is definitely going to be a little bit more touchy but it also can look more elegant you kind of have to throw this shot when you can't go directly at a basket but need to work with as much open space as you can with multiple angles you're balancing putting enough angle on the disc that it holds all the way to the ground but doesn't land too sharply and cut roll or doesn't flex out too early and go and run away from the basket so make sure you give it enough angle and speed to get all the way there while also giving enough width to beat your obstacles clearly not enough width let's try a couple backhands that was not enough angle or height go try a bunch of reps with this try to put yourself in a complicated situation where you can throw hyzers or anhyzers but have to...
