hello and welcome back to gatekeeper media's coverage of the 2021 utah open driven by innova i'm nate perkins joined here today in the booth with my good friend and united states champion james conrad i'm stoked to be back in the booth with you nate today we're going to the fort this should be a really fun round to watch the fort provides a very different experience than what we saw yesterday at mulligan's there's a lot of shot shaping required compared to a lot of landing zones that are needed to hit out of mulligans so we should definitely definitely see a lot a lot more variety of types of shots people are throwing we should see a lot more scrambling there's definitely a lot of rough on this course should definitely be a challenge but i'm excited to see how these guys attack it yeah well said james the fort has a lot of very specific lines where we're at mulligans we saw a lot of stock shots a lot of stock hyzers and again i just want to remind you guys this is one of the courses for the world championships we're looking at the flight factory drone preview here on hole one 315 foot par three there's an ob creek that kind of splits the hole in half and the river is only circle's edge deep on this hole so you can't just blast it yeah there's there's a creek you have to cross that doesn't come and play too much but getting the distance control just right to to get up to the basket without going long into the river is the biggest challenge the forehand play here as you saw ricky and now emerson throw is pretty common you can get a little flex and the green is pretty open on the left side so attacking a little bit of a left to right finish is a a good way to do it and i was speaking to emerson keith he's a good friend of mine and we grew up playing in the same same part of the world in dallas fort worth texas and him and i both agreed that the fort is very similar to a lot of texas golf a lot of tight tight birdies and a lot of scrambling on the par fours and he is really looking forward...
