The Rule Almost All Disc Golfers Break | Debate Night Clips
Debate Night Clips bring to light a common mistake made by many disc golfers: over-reliance on the hyzer shot. A discussion between experts and friends reveals that this technique often falls short, resulting in shots landing mere 30 feet off course. Even professional players like Isaac Robinson acknowledge the limitations of the hyzer, with one round yielding disappointing results due to strong winds. Simon's impressive pitch shot over the gallery is showcased, demonstrating a viable alternative to the hyzer. The debate centers around whether taking risks and executing difficult shots, such as turnovers and inside forehands, is worth the potential reward or if it's better to stick with more reliable techniques. With insights from experts like Isaac Robinson, fans can learn from their experiences and develop their own strategies for success on the disc golf course.

it's and you saw that like isaac robinson he he went ob long um it's really easy to to to throw ob going the left side the heiser what when me and ezra did our practice round out there we found that the hyzer at at best probably gets us to like 30 feet right of the basket but the worst it's just out in the middle of the fairway and you just chip up and take your three yeah so um the only reason i didn't do that the final round is when we were like playing those first couple holes the wind picked up significantly it kind of died down throughout the the day but it was probably 10 15 miles per hour and it was like a head left to right and i was like okay there's no way this disc is getting anywhere near there so um well do you feel like on that hole it's a do you feel like on that hole it needs a mando or would it be solved by moving the t forward like 20 feet 10 feet see i think if you i think if you want i i don't like moving the t forward because i i like where it's at because it allows the turnover which is a hard shot and allows the inside forehand okay i would say if you don't want to put a mando there um which is fine you can do that the other way to do it is you literally make that fairway on the right all ob so now the people that are throwing that hyzer shot out there that is a risk reward shot if you pull it off yeah you probably have a putt but if you know it you get too wide and you hit the tree or it doesn't swing as much as you thought you literally just threw a shot basically all ob and now you're having three t so i i love that kind of idea too if you want to continue to you know because i know people love seeing those types of shots yeah well yeah but when there's no risk involved that's where it's tough for me because you want to reward players for taking risky shots see that's a clip i saw the clip on twitter and simon was throwing over the...
