Natalie Ryan VS PDGA Has Been Settled...For Now
The PDGA has settled its dispute with Natalie Ryan, effectively putting an end to the controversy surrounding the organization's policy on gender-based divisions in disc golf tournaments. The settlement comes after a lengthy period of litigation and court orders in California and Minnesota, which have rendered it increasingly difficult for the PDGA to navigate the complexities of trans rights laws across multiple states. By striking specific language from its policy, the PDGA has sought to resolve the disputes with Natalie Ryan and other parties involved, including the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDJ) and Disc Golf Pro Tour (DISL Protour). The decision marks a significant shift for the organization as it navigates its finances and focuses on inclusivity and fairness in its policies.
