uh udisc actually had one of their data science scientists reach out to me um after last week's episode to explain a little bit more on the world rankings so they're explaining some of the questions that we have uh so i'm just kind of read a little bit of a portion of the email they explained the paul situation too um but uh basically one of their their strongest argument was it happens in other sports especially in golf they literally showed me where it happened where a player didn't show up and another player who was world number one did and they flip-flopped and i was like okay well it's just something that i'm just not used to because the sports eye watcher basketball when it's like i guess basketball kind of happens of well no the team's not going to lose number one if they didn't play that week but it is what it is so i just think it's an individual sport thing that i'm just not used to but the rest of the stuff yeah i could theoretically i guess happen in like college football where like if there was like a number two and a number three playing and like the number two just destroys number three you could see them maybe jump but yeah i know what you're saying it's not it's not the most common thing to see yeah but i mean if it's happening in other sports i mean it is what it is like it's just something it is what it is yeah like that's just something that it was the first time i'd seen it but the um uh this is what they said so they said brodie brought up a hypothetical situation where the top seven ranked players finished a tournament in that order followed by jared stoll then followed by adam hamm is what adam ham is ranking plummet in that scenario the answer is no and they gave two examples as to why so he said for a real life example luke humphries this is this they emailed this before waco happened um they said for a real life example luke humphreys previous previously ranked 66 at lvc finished fourth and tristan tanner previously ranked 112th finished sixth calvin heinberg finished just ahead and adam hamm has finished just behind adam only dropped one spot and...
