Power Pocket Explained!! (For Distance) - Disc Golf

Team OTB's Ezra breaks down the Power Pocket Explained!! (For Distance) - Disc Golf technique. This in-depth explanation aims to clarify and extend on the hitbox concept introduced by Ezra in a previous video. He focuses on maintaining a 90-degree angle from the peak of the reach back until the disc is released, pulling the disc into the power pocket with the left pec. The key takeaway: rely on rotation for power instead of trying to pull through, allowing for a faster and more efficient throw. With Ezra's guidance, viewers can master this technique and improve their distance throws.

hey guys i'm ezra with team otb and i made a video a little while back talking about the pal pocket and kind of getting into like a hitbox and i wanted to make another video to kind of explain that a little bit better extend on it and kind of talk about what the arm should do for the entire throw so let's jump right into it in the last video i talked about you know visualizing like a hitbox and getting nice and scrolled up kind of 90 degrees everywhere and to extend on that you really want to keep this angle 90 degrees the entire time from the peak of the reach back until the disc is out of your hand so when i get into my reach back i want my shoulders pulling to kill to the target you know my back facing the target i want my arm parallel to the target just on one line pointing at where i'm going to throw and that creates a 90 degree angle right here so as i rotate through i want to keep this just angled and 90 degrees the entire time i want to pull the disc into my into my like left pec basically and then you know get into the power pocket obviously and then as i rotate through this arm straightens this angle stays 90 degrees the entire time until i release the disc and then once that is gone then i'll follow through and open up and um yeah so you really don't want to think like pulling through because that you know this is a really weak motion you want to just use the rotation to get the power ups that's way faster than you can do just by pulling um if you took like a top down view and then took out the rotation so you know you just see what a throw looks like without any spinning all that the arm would actually do is just goes from reach back power pocket throw so there's no there's no like pull or anything like that it just goes into your chest and out again and then follow through so um hopefully i can show that a little bit from like a top-down view on top of a goal post you're on um but yeah so just you know use this...
