hello i'm valerie marijano i'm 21 years old i've been playing disco for eight years and i am from san antonio texas my name is alexis mondujano i'm from san antonio texas and i started playing disc golf maybe eight years ago i was playing for around six months with my family we were just strictly us i think it was more my brother pushing me like hey if you're going to do something do it 110 if you're not going to do it in that amount don't do it at all and that was kind of the mindset that just always stuck with me and so i guess i didn't really know i was competitive until i started playing disco i'm seeing the progression of my game i was like i kind of like this i can do this this could be something for the long haul for sure i was within for six years and during those two years i was injured so it's kind of like a lot of ups and downs for me so i was kind of like well it's a new year i want something new my contract's up so let's do it i want a new year fresh start first year on tour so everything's new for me and i want a new challenge i think it's kind of good for both of us so that way we're not getting overshadowed and so i feel like having a different company kind of separates the image that we both set ourselves up as more people around us kind of build this rivalry up for the companies and for us it was never that for me it's always been pushing her and for her it's always been pushing me and so i was always pushing and towards that goal of being number one and i felt like it hasn't stopped because currently i'm not the number one spot so i still have that spark you
