At Disc Golf Buzz, we believe great data should be shared. That's why we're making our Public API completely free and open to the community—no API keys, no registration, and no paywalls.

Whether you're building a mobile app, website, Discord bot, tournament dashboard, AI assistant, or simply experimenting with a new idea, you can start making requests immediately.

Our goal is simple: remove the barriers to building great disc golf software.

What's Available?

The Disc Golf Buzz API gives you access to a growing collection of structured disc golf data, including:

  • Videos from many of the sport's most popular YouTube channels, complete with metadata, transcripts, AI-generated descriptions, and publish dates.
  • Podcast episodes with guests, show notes, transcripts, and episode information.
  • News articles to help keep your application up to date with what's happening across the sport.
  • Course data for more than 4,000 courses across the United States, including location, hole count, operating status, access type, and more.
  • Categories that make it easy to organize and filter content.

Because every endpoint supports filtering, sorting, pagination, and search, it's easy to retrieve exactly the data your application needs. Please keep in mind the site is growing daily and some content is dynamic in nature.

What Can You Build?

We designed the API to be flexible enough for everything from weekend side projects to full-scale applications.

Some ideas include:

  • A mobile app that highlights the latest tournament coverage and podcast episodes.
  • A Discord or Slack bot that posts new videos or news as they're published.
  • A course finder that filters by state, number of holes, or free-to-play courses.
  • AI-powered assistants that can search video transcripts or podcast discussions to answer disc golf questions.
  • Analytics dashboards that track publishing trends, creators, or tournament coverage.
  • Community websites that aggregate news, videos, and podcasts into a single experience.
  • Personal projects, learning exercises, or classroom applications that need real-world JSON data.

If you've ever thought, "I wish there was an API for disc golf," this is exactly what we set out to build.

Built for the Community

Rather than keeping this data behind closed doors, we'd rather see the community use it to create something useful.

We only ask that you use the service responsibly by avoiding excessive requests, caching responses where appropriate, and including the required attribution for course data.

If you build something with the API, we'd genuinely love to hear about it. Whether it's a weekend project or the next must-have disc golf app, we'd be excited to feature what you've created.

Reliable and Always Available

A public API is only valuable if developers can depend on it. That's why the Disc Golf Buzz API is continuously monitored, and we've made our system status publicly available so you can check uptime and service health whenever you need to.

If you're ready to get started, head over to the API documentation (https://discgolf.buzz/api-docs), explore the available endpoints, and start building. We can't wait to see what the disc golf community creates.
