Throughout this club season, the men's division has felt like it had three major title contenders. The preseason rankings debate focused on a reinforced Chicago machine roster anchored by the emergence of Belgian import Don Dearay as a superstar versus a returner reigning champion roster from Portland Rhino Slam ready for a run it back. But make no mistake, San Francisco Revolver has been the division's best team the past few months. Their deep and balanced team lost only one game while taking down PEC West, the US Open, and Pro Championships before cruising to a Southwest Regional Crown. But both Rhino and Machine played much of the season short-handed. Meanwhile, Northeast neighbors Boston Dig behind the emergence of another Belgian Toby Drona and New York Pony who added a former Tarheel State duo in Ben Damarind and Ander Junst to their veteran roster have shown elite ceilings that make them credible threats to the established order. And DC Truck Stop, the only team to beat Revolver, will be no pushovers either. Challengers like Raleigh Ring of Fire, Seattle Sakai, Denver Johnny Bravo, and Philadelphia Pac-Man will keep everyone from getting comfy. Is it a year for the favorite or are the underdogs going to run the block? Nationals is the only place Robo Get our answer.
