yeah this this tournament is pretty significant for us because we you know we spend a lot of time out there playing against each other in practice and this is our first time to play together as a functioning unit against competition sort of see where we stack up against some of the other teams in the area some teams from a little farther away and hopefully if it all works out we'll end up at the Chesapeake invite we'll get to play in a much more competitive competition the the new regulations with the club regular season have affected how we've done things because we had to finalize the roster we have to get people registered and then there's this push to get these sanction games in and at this point in the season it's too early to tell whether it will have any impact on the rankings down the line we did things differently than we would have I I don't really like the way we had to do it but I do understand what they're going for you know it's a it's just a more fair system of of allocating those strength bids than they've ever done before right I think based off of the prior years results doesn't really make sense there's so much turnover aside from those top teams and those teams after those top teams are the ones that are being rewarded by the bids that the top teams have earned so this will actually allow it to even out a little more I think this year we got an earlier jump on things we had a real triy out process and we've we've combined with other teams in the area to hopefully form a stronger core and hope that as a practicing team as a tournament team team if you notice last year we didn't have a single tournament before the series right um so we went in with no record at all we're hoping this year you know we'll earn higher seedings and it'll just be an easier track through so that on Sunday morning when we're playing you know the ponies of the world and the goats of the world we'll be ready to go
