welcome to deep look multi-world's weekly radio show about the current state of ultimate i am the host and the editor of ulti world charlie eisenhood keith raynor is out on paternity leave so i am officially signed up for summer league that just feels so great and i'm seeing people on twitter and social media talking about getting back out and playing summer league and you know getting hurt or having it be a terrible game losing by 10 goals and yet it's still just so great to get back out there i cannot wait i'm pretty sure our first game is going to be end of the month maybe first week of july there's like some warm-up games coming up a little bit later in june and you know honestly like three or four months ago it wasn't totally clear whether there was going to be summer league so the fact that we're at this point is very great um you know if you're maybe you skip summer league because you're a club player or something like that but even if i was playing club i'm pretty sure i would play summer league every single year it's just got a different vibe it's got it it's it's fun in a way that more competitive levels of the sport aren't always i think so i'm just super excited to be uh you know getting back out there and i mean seeing people again that i haven't seen in in over a year so pumped for that hopefully you're playing summer league as well uh today on the show we've got a little bit of news to get to and then we'll be talking some audl week one making our picks against the spread uh in our battle with stall seven uh first up ben fang is the new director of uh college competition programs at usa ultimate he's taking over for tom manowitz who is leaving the position here sometime in the next couple weeks and it's been a long you know five year run for for tom manowis he's done a great job with the college division and it's very excited to see ben feng get this gig uh ben's super involved in coaching and playing club and uh he's done some work for ulti world in the past and uh it's just uh i think he's going...
