foreign met me before I am from Lansing Michigan I've been playing guts Frisbee for three years now and my co-host here is Steve Taylor Steve go ahead and introduce yourself hey everybody uh Steve Taylor I'm the with diff guts chair and president of usgpa I've been playing guts for quite a while really excited to see this match Japan beat uh uh Korea to get to this point and Chinese Taipei beat Thailand Thailand is the third place team and it looks like we're just about ready to start yep if you're not familiar guts is thrown on a 14 meter distance it's first shot and the call is a good shot for a Chinese Taipei we're gonna play this match with single game to 21 you gotta win by two you can score by throwing the disc right side up not vertical not upside down through the opposing teams reach that you don't have to jump through the disc you just have to raise your hand as you can the defense can score by uh so the offense could score by 300 through the line without it being caught with one hand you cannot trap the disc the defense can score by the office is making a mistake throwing it too wide short or high and if there's a catch there's no point all right coming up to throw right now we have number 34 star for Japan maybe two finger and that's up and down that's the point that brings the score to 1-1 and guts it's important not to shoot people around the waist and chest area we call that the catch Zone it's far easier to catch a disc that's uh put in that slot for you much more difficult if it's at somebody's ankles or as that last shot was at the fingertips a little more dangerous to throw there but it's a lot easier to score all right looks like that hit Jason GAO in guts the person who touches the disc glass on a normal throw is the one that has to throw or touches it first is the one that has to throw so Jason warming up looks like he's got a backhand that's it came in and hit star again so score is two two one shooting two Japan shooting Chinese Taipei whenever we're going over a score we...
