Hello everyone and welcome to the final round of the 2025 Chiang Mai Open. We head to Lana Rock Garden for this third and final round. Chasta Chris trying to defend his title from 2024. Ricardo Richard Crelman joins us. Our round one leader Yuka Costcella and Matias Vel representing France here and ready to go. It's the full round front and back. all 18 holes. Big shout out to our primary sponsor in Discraft for the event as we head to hole one. Common play for our righty backhand throwers up and over. Trying to avoid basically everything here and then just crashing it in to our green which has a few rocks guarding it. Shasta opened with a nine under and then an 11 under as he's your outright leader at 20. Great second round by Rick to get him into the second place position and good start here. drawn some metal. Yuka right there next to the basket and it sits down most importantly. You guys are good at this golf. And Matias also making hole one look relatively easy. Looks like we should have four birdie putts. We saw as he closed out the round yesterday that he smacked his hand very hard while throwing a shot back on hole number 16. It has swelled up considerably. And you can only imagine that some of the heat and humidity that you experience in Southeast Asia, in Chiang Mai and many other places, not necessarily really conducive to trying to heal up a massively swollen hand. And it is his right hand, his throwing hand. But none of that seems to matter for the lead card right now as expect to see this star frame to get things started. Very impressive as they head to hole number two. I love this hole. 305 ft. I think it plays a little shorter than 305. Obviously, you have the creek on the right hand side. Plenty of space off to the left to bail out, but you don't want to go too far left because then you're going to be putting back toward the creek. Nice flat ground. good position to be and maybe most importantly won't have water behind him during the putt. Can't argue with that.
