Benjamin Kenny, owner and promoter of the Northeast disc golf Expo, shares his journey to bringing a unique event to fans of the sport. A self-proclaimed "disc golf enthusiast," Benjamin's passion for the game led him to turn his vision into reality after discovering there was no dedicated disc golf Expo anywhere. With a goal to make a full-time living from content creation and expo events, he launched his first Expo last year in March. Benjamin shares his excitement about the success of the event, which has attracted over 800 people and has become a hub for fans to connect with each other and meet industry movers and shakers. The Northeast disc golf Expo promises to be an annual event that showcases the best of the sport and provides a platform for like-minded individuals to come together and celebrate their shared passion.

hi my name is Benjamin Kenny and I am the owner and promoter of the Northeast disc golf Expo how it became my dad for a decade in my life ran fishing Expos actually in this hotel it started me just going to the Expos and getting in for free and wearing stasher and like looking cool and just seeing what's going on it's like a fun little thing and then I opened up a tackle store with him that I've been own for the past four years and I started vending at those fishing Expo so I got to see like kind of the vendor side you're seeing your dad do something for a decade you kind of just start to learn things even if it's you're not really paying attention you just kind of pick up things I got into dis golf in like 2021 and I was instantly hooked and I was in love with it and then 6 months later I realized there wasn't a disc golf Expo anywhere ever I worked on it for a year and a half to do the first Expo which was last year in March so that's how I got my start the goal behind the Expo is first first goal I'll just tell it straight out I love disc golf I want to make a full-time living off of disc golf what whatever it be content creation expose anything with this golf that's the financial side of it all but the passion side of it and the reason I do it regardless of the finances is just seeing people like you watching be Under One Roof and just getting Overjoyed like big germ meeting a lot of new fans shaking a lot of hands taking pictures doing autographs but just really loving the passion in this building for disc golf Simon meeting about 800 people yesterday and a nice smooth 50 to 100 today it's been pretty wild and very very exciting for the game I think this Expo is phenomenal and I had no idea it was going to be this big and it looks like we're going to have to upgrade facilities it was uh it was an awesome weekend it's n working it's meeting people like-minded with ambition uh movers and shakers as well as meeting all the fans thank you to everyone who has actually...
