The DOWNFALL Of Aaron Gossage
Jefferson from the disc golf world explores the dramatic career trajectory of Aaron Gossage, a talent who transitioned from a promising junior prospect to one of the sport’s most polarizing figures. The narrative traces Gossage’s early beginnings in 2008, where he joined the PDGA at age eleven, deeply influenced by his father’s disc golf passion. As he matured, Aaron dominated the Colorado disc golf scene, capturing the Colorado State Championships and amassing a high rating while still a teenager. His pursuit of professional excellence led him to his first DGPT appearances in 2018, including the Utah Open and the U.S. Open at USDGC, which ignited his ambition to become a touring pro. After contributing to the establishment of the disc golf program at Colorado Mesa University, Gossage emerged as a dominant local force by 2019. Known for his explosive power throws and precision, he became a household name in the region, notably defeating Jay Yeti at the GoPro Mountain Games. However, this era also highlighted a notable weakness in his putting game. The description sets the stage for a deeper dive into how these foundational years and specific competitive milestones laid the groundwork for the intense scrutiny and controversy that would eventually define his legacy in the professional circuit.

I don't want to be that guy, but I saw that. I gotta call it. >> Crazy to think one moment can ruin an entire career. And no, this video isn't about Nico. What's up, disgenerates? I'm Jefferson from the disc golf world. Here to fully explain how Aaron Gosage went from the guy looked at as the next breakout star of the sport to possibly the most hated disc golfer of all time. But before we can get into the downfall, we have to go back to the very beginning. In 2008, Aaron became a PDGA member, competing in the junior division at 11 years old. His father was already froing before Gausage was born, and throughout childhood, Frisbee was very present, following alongside his dad during rounds to help form an early love for the game rather than envisioning a career path. A taste of the top competition which ignited something inside Gausage that had him working towards the goal of being a touring professional disc golfer. Before he could get to that, he stepped his shoes in the collegiate field, playing for Colorado Mesa University, where he helped create the disc golf program and competed, taking 50th place at that year's collegiate national championship. 2019, Aaron was fully a local pro known all over the state of Colorado. Took down Jay Yeti at the GoPro Mountain Games, but more importantly, officially was known around as the huge thrower, chucking full power shots without losing precision. Just don't ask about the putting. 2020 was Gauss's senior year and co ruined most of that. But at least he graduated with a computer science degree so he could put all this silly frisbee throwing stuff behind him. A few weeks later, Aaron finished second of the state championships and local legend Joe River told him he...
