Welcome back and hello to any and all newcomers to another installment of This Week in Disc Golf. I'm your host, just Swiss for today, but still with all the holes and one half of the super duo notoriously known because that's what we decided to call ourselves, the disc golf world, or the ones with the clickbait titles for short. We're that one disc golf YouTube channel that changed the game with our scripted coverage. There's plenty of interesting news to cover, so let's dive into starting off with the first release of Altiworld's 2025 fandom survey. one of the best offseason fillers to nerd out on while we wait for January's player announcements which could be affected by the results of some of these very own surveys as World compiled the data from over 10,000 surveys and like every year the first release cracks off with the player fandom results though there was little change at top the MO with Simon Lazat reigning supreme there and of course Kelvin Heimberg right behind still the definition of consistency even in this fandom score and need Saxon to round out the top three in the average fandom score category. But with the dynamic that carried out over the FPO season, not only did Silva Sarnon and Kristen Lots reign in the fandom survey, but also finished only second to her MVP teammate Simon on the list as MVP now with a smaller roster locked in some of the most popular players on tour. one being the premier FPO talent. Silva also had one of the highest increases over the prior year along with Ben Callaway and both Ezra's Adherold and Robinson each riding their first tour series victories to top fives in positive trends over last season. While it helped land Cadence Burge in the top 20 for her first time ever being in the survey, but don't sleep on Silus Schultz, whose play and edits has him right there on that list.
