PDGA increases event player fees that brings questions from the community the tour down unders first wave of player signings is impressive to say the least and even more this weekend disc golf hello all you dis generates it's me swiss cheese you guys know the one with all the holes in his game and I'm one half of the disc golf world the nephew and Uncle Duo YouTube channel that's giving you all your disc golf news on and off the tour and you guys are watching this week in disc golf where I cover all things disc golf from the past week real quick shout out and thank you to all those on the patreon page for helping allow us to tour along with the pros as you guys are certainly contributing to our Channel success our patreon content is continuing to grow so if you guys want even more of the behind the-scenes Disc Golf World cuts make sure to join nestled conveniently right around the same time as the underwhelming PDGA rule changes the association has also announced an increase for the 2025 postevent player feed its first increase since 2007 in the announcement the player feed for the PDGA members would increase by a dollar per event and for non-members or expired members the onetime fee increased from $10 now to 15 the PDGA a near expert PR speak goes on to State these adjustments support the rising cost of administering over 10,000 sanctioned events annually and will help us expand key offerings such as tournament director training programs enhance tournament management tools and additional program upgrades in 2025 as players continue to feel the ever tightening squeeze on their wallets with a justification of inflation yet again on face value that small of an increase seems to justify the benefits of a sanctioned tournament that provides event support Insurance rules tournament management software record recording registration software and digital live scoring the insurance alone seems to justify the adjustment in a sport that has only seen event totals have expanded year after year with 2024 looking no different to being at or more than the 10,500 plus events in 2023 that and certainly most players can get on board with better TD training like the statement says providing a more uniform tournament experience Across the Nation should be the desired goal of the association...
