It pains me to say this, but MVP discs has officially taken over disc golf. What's up, degenerates? You're watching the Disc Golf World. I'm Jomez Pro, and this is the first off-season video. This is the time of year where we hope there's something to talk about each week. Thankfully, this past weekend, MVP had their 11th Gyropalooza. I think that's accurate, but some gyro goober will let me know in the comments. And if you're down there, might as well hit that subscribe button. Just saying. I've never attended one of these, mostly since I've never bagged one of their discs. But this year, I was able to live vicariously through Simon Lizotte's vlog. So for everyone confused with the hell a Gyropalooza is, here you go. You're asking me what Gyropalooza is? Gyropalooza is like a festival atmosphere for frisbee fans. The ultimate MVP fan event. It's going to be unprecedented fan, player, community, makers of the plastic, workers of the factory, all coming together and just celebrating this uh this big concept of friendliness and disc golf and community. I think that it's going to be something that's going to kick off many years of this type of thing in the future. It would make sense if you haven't heard about the Gyropalooza, even though it's been going on since 2015. However, this was the first time in 5 years since it's been back in person. During COVID, they switched to a virtual experience, and of course that cash grab mystery box. But the reason they couldn't open up sooner was in 2020, the MVP fan base was still just beginning. Then of course, the Holy Shot made the company what it is today. I've heard rumors that they sold more of those blue and yellow Envy's than the total amount of discs they had ever before. Some random partner I had at league who only bagged gyro told me that though, so might not be true. Without that shot, there is no Simon, which means he doesn't get all those discs. We don't get an Eagle McMahon music video. The Glitch doesn't exist. Okay, maybe not that last one, but you get what I'm saying. Although major credit needs to go to Brad and Chad for the strategic moves they made every step of the way, and I can't remember a time there's been MVP...
