Jussi not only returns but runs it back with another epic event, some final player announcements, preseason warm-up action, and really not too much more. This week in disc golf. To all the disgenerates out there, welcome back. And for anybody who might be new, I'm your host, Swiss Cheese, the one with all the holes in his game. And back at it again with another episode of This Week in Disc Golf, only the show where I cover all things disc golf from the past week on the channel that covers the sport in our own way. And by that I mean more than just scripted, who's revered by some and repulsed by others, but always known as the disc golf world. Now, I know many of you out there might have been more hyped about that Jussi Morzma's pre-announcement announcement than the actual announcement, but the return of Jussi is not only important for disc golf in Finland, but the sport as a whole. And let me tell you about it, cuz Jussi and his future involvement with the game had a number of question marks ever since that I'm done post after the World Championship. But it was this initial tease. I've been running big international tournaments for over 20 years and what I have learned over these years is that the European Discord Championships is bigger and more meaningful event for example the European Open. It is a truly international championship. It also draws more attention from outside the sport, from the national media as well as from the fans. One important thing with this project was the timing. With Pro Discoll World Championships, we were able to create the hype. Over 1 million people watched the final day live. And after all, it was pretty clear for us that we wanted to build on top of that and bring another giant event to Finland. Also, the city of Tampere was very keen to have another major event in their premises. When I approached them with this idea, they have only one question. How we can get more people there? >> Only to be followed with everyone spitting out speculations as frequently as Extrafingered AI art. Nothing was off the table either. Some had him teaming up with Disc. Others buying back Disc Mania, which we can all still hope for, while others had him partnering...
