What the hell is even that? >> What's up, disgenerates? It's the disc golf world. I'm Jefferson alongside me, the one with all the holes in his game, Swiss cheese, breaking down everything you need to know from the United States Disc Golf Championship. If you missed the previous recaps, I highly recommend doing that so you're not missing out. I'm talking the real stuff, like Ricky playing pingpong. Overall, there wasn't much to complain about. And seeing the new teapad on hole 14, I was actually pretty happy. The only thing really pissing off fans, well besides the payw wall, was the damn Inova baskets. Pretty sure the idea was to copy the Gateway Titan, which is hands down the best on the market. Execution was not quite there, resulting in plenty of spitouts seen on coverage and then of course shared across social media, mainly from Fanatic, who's probably still angry at being banned from the DG subreddit. Apparently, even the MO players said that they sucked. We even got Matt Bell breaking down what exactly makes these so bad. I think if baskets are the biggest talking point to come out of the event, then they did a good job. Now, it would be a lot cooler to mass-produce the tournament to the most amount of eyes, but maybe I'm just crazy. Now, I don't really know who to blame for that. Many want to point at DGN, but I've heard the pay-per-view model was Inova's idea and that the DGPT are upset about the decision. Would also be cool if someone told us what the hell was going on so we could break it all down for the people. But, you know, it's probably a better idea to leave everyone in the dark for us to speculate the worst. Besides making a bunch of money, I can't really think of a reason to put any coverage behind a payw wall. And what does delaying post produced by an extra day even do? Feels really weird. And I would love to hear some sort of explanation because the only way I can think to describe it is dumb. Stick around until the end of the video and I'll rant about how I think USDGC and Winthrope should be handled for the future. But let's recap the action first. The stage was set even with better than anticipated...
