THE DISC ROBOT IS BACK!!! (part 1)
The DISC Robot is back and flying high in this exclusive Beyond special! Ditto Flight, a returning guest from California, joins host Aaron for an in-depth look at his latest robot build. With a focus on rigidity and balance, Ditto shares the challenges he faced with the base of the robot bouncing around between shots and during recording. To address these issues, Ditto has implemented various techniques, including using heavier materials, larger flat pads to prevent sinking into surfaces, and an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) with funGyros SC in the base to detect wobbles. Ditto also showcases his pulley system, which allows him to adjust balance in real-time as he tests the robot's movements. With a mix of behind-the-scenes insights and tech-savvy discussions, this video is a must-watch for robotics enthusiasts and fans of Beyond!
Watch Simon Lizotte as The Disc Robot in this thrilling series! Incredible shots & skillful plays from a top disc golfer.

what's up YouTube Welcome Back to the channnel it is a Beyond special day I have a returning guest and I couldn't be more excited and if my calculations are correct I have a gift coming right about now here we have it thanks for the pass I just played catch with a robot welcome back to the channel ditto flight let's go he's back folks we got ditto flight and Aaron of course there but we have the show stopper ditto flight is back all the way from California I so excited how's life I've been keeping busy keeping busy there you go here's your little baby so what's new and what are some thoughts and ideas since last time yeah so as you said watching tapes from last time one of the last things I was not happy with was uh you'd see the base of the robot bouncing around some between shots and during shots and from the perspective of the same shot over and over again not okay so there's been a couple things with regards to rigidity I've seen some internet comments of like make it really heavy and plant it I'm like yes but I flew with it from California to here so it doesn't just leave it at my house yeah then it never gets any add IAL stuff done oh you're right uh so yeah a lot of work is went into balancing and just making things more rigid so like you notice the tires are default off the ground ah I've got bigger flat pads so as you're sitting there you don't start to sink sink into stuff like a whole Fort Maple Hill was like it's nice Mulch and everything but uh as you shoot it was sitting there digging itself little holes and that's changing things yep um this there's now actively a IMU so fun Gyros SC in the base of it that let lets me know how wobbly it is ah yeah and then you can't really see it uh but down the center of the tube now I can I can spin a pulley here you don't actually see anything move but there's a weight that can Shuffle forward and backward in the tube so while it's running I can see how balanced it is and tweak accordingly as far as bringing it to like dead...
