Forgetting Everything I Know About Disc Golf for 9 Holes...
Falling Creek Park is the stage for an epic disc golf lesson as Paul learns from Simon Lazar, a seasoned pro. The two are joined by new microphones to bring their game to life in high definition. They'll be playing 10 holes, with Simon guiding Paul through the shot selection process using "smart lines" that cater to both beginner and advanced players. Simon shares his expertise on key techniques, such as the perfect timing line for a flex shot over obstacles. He also offers valuable advice on how to choose the right disc stability, including when to opt for more or less stability. Paul puts these tips into practice, taking on Simon's "smart lines" with varying degrees of success. Throughout their game, Simon provides insightful commentary and expert analysis, making this tutorial an engaging watch for both beginners and experienced players alike.
PDGA World Champion Paul McBeth takes a break from pro form to forget everything he knows about disc golf in this experimental 9-hole round.

what is up everyone we are here at falling creek park i got the one and only simon lazar and we actually got new mics now so hopefully we nail this but i got simon here because today i want him to teach me something and i think i'm going to teach you something today too so what we're going to do is i'm going to be throwing simon lines and you're going to be throwing what do you want to call them smart lines smart lines we're going to go with simon lines and smart lines we're going to play 10 holes here 1 through 8 and then 19 and 20. and he's gonna pick my shots i guess i'm gonna pick his shots he might have some smart lines here and there but let's get into it okay paul we are on hole one slightly downhill and i don't know if you remember but when we played the skins jonas skins in vermont on hole nine i did this crazy flex line over the top and it came back with a really overstable disc yep i feel like it lines up if you throw it like up here yeah and then swing around that down here if you get the distance right yeah instantly i'm out of words for a little while insane shot that's the perfect timing line so my most overstable or medium overstable i would say you throw your most over stable on like a sky roller angle and as a pro tip you have to go less far than you think because these things tend to glide simult take one oh paul that is going way long but you nailed that angle it's a putt i wish he had a more overstable disc that would have worked out really nicely all right i guess my shot is uh all right simon here we go smart line i don't want to go too big because there is a big hyzer but go yeah just a soft little hyzer through that little hyzer and you want to just go barely around that tree right of the basket because it's about 40 feet past that tree mid-range or fairway mid-range mid-range normally i would go like that way yeah normally i know but oh yeah oh does he like it yeah we got simon 2.0 oh no...
