Transforming a forgotten public park in Chicago into a sweet disc golf course | Jomez

Transforming a forgotten public park in Chicago into a sweet disc golf course is a project that's close to Jomez's heart. In this episode of Unstable Discourse, he shares his passion for disc golf and how it has the potential to bring communities together. With a goal to introduce the sport to major cities, Jomez and his team have set out to create a disc golf course in Chicago's Jackson Park, one of the city's largest public spaces. With the help of locals like Louise McCurry, president of the Jackson Park Advisory Council, who has been instrumental in bringing this project to life, the team has been working tirelessly to transform the park into a thriving disc golf course. From cleaning up the area and installing new terrain features to partnering with volunteers and community members, every detail is carefully considered to create an enjoyable experience for players of all ages and skill levels.
